ENGIE and our Ethical Standards

ENGIE’s code of ethical conduct is intended for everybody, and is designed to encourage people to behave in compliance with the legislation and regulations applicable in each of the countries in which we operate, and to uphold our values and on our commitments in relation to all social, societal and environmental considerations.

ENGIE abides by the set of rules and procedures which help us reach the right decision in a given situation, drawing on our discernment, pragmatism and our sense of responsibility. Ethics is what binds all of us throughout the company, irrespective of our role, our status or the country in which we are based. TOGETHER, we protect our Group, and we will not compromise on any of our fundamental ethical rules.

ENGIE’s Vigilance Plan

At ENGIE, we uphold the highest ethical and compliance standards across all regions, including the Middle East. To ensure the effective deployment of our Vigilance Plan, ENGIE has established a strong governance framework, with overall coordination and dedicated monitoring at the highest levels of the company. This approach aligns with both international regulations and regional best practices, ensuring responsible business conduct across our operations.

Strategic Oversight and Governance

The Group’s Vigilance Plan was approved by ENGIE’s Executive Committee on 22 January 2018, and its management was entrusted to the Ethics, Compliance & Privacy Department, under the Legal, Ethics & Compliance Division, which reports directly to the Corporate Secretariat. This ensures full integration into ENGIE’s ethical framework and allows for continuous oversight and strategic alignment with business priorities.

The plan is monitored at the highest levels, with an annual report presented to the Ethics, Environment, and Sustainable Development Committee of the Board of Directors. This report highlights key achievements, priority areas for improvement, and actions taken to strengthen vigilance across the Group.
